Sleazy Awards Bought By a Sleazy Law Firm? Lindborg & Mazor LLP Lists Awards From Dubious Sources On Their Website

Is Lindborg & Mazor paying for “awards” to make themselves look good to clients?

It sure looks like it…a look at their website at https://www.lmllp.com/ has a list of “awards” that they have bought…err, received, after paying money apparently.

When a client looks at Lindborg & Drills web page, how the fuck are they to know that Lindborg & Drill paid for these awards? Answer, they don’t. Or rather, they didn’t know then but they know now. What kind of tiny ego’s must one have to buy oneself awards that are meaningless, except to perhaps defraud potential clients?

Is it legal? Apparently it is yes. But, for shits & giggles, and because it may be false advertising, I submitted an online complaint to the state bar association. Happy New Years to Lindborg & Mazor! (The countdown begins to see if they remove their scammy awards from their website, starting now at 11:45 am on 12/31/19)

Is it ethical? Depends on your ethics. For myself, I wouldn’t even consider it. Ask yourself, Do I want to deal with a firm that buys itself awards to try to impress clients?

A bogus award at Lindborg & Drill’s website. Wikipedia terms these awards as “Vanity Awards” meaning pay to get them…

From Wikipedia –

In August 2018, the Advertising Standards Authority upheld a complaint against AI Global Media to the effect that in two marketing emails they had implied an award had been given after a “meticulous and extensive” selection process involving significant voting by third parties, when in fact it appeared nominees were selected indiscriminately in bulk, large numbers of nominees could win awards not least because the categories for the awards were selected with a view to making as many awards as possible, and there were not a significant number of third-party votes. They also found that the first of these emails had misleadingly represented itself as being a legitimate email about an awards process not a marketing communication; they also noted that “Build”, the Al magazine in question, “did very little to promote the award winners who had not purchased the advertising packages”.[3]

A search on Google quickly turned up many sites calling these awards scams, fake, etc.

The link below lists every awards company and whether it’s pure scam or real.

How easy is it to get an award from Universal Media? Apparently as easy as writing a check. From https://premonition.ai/fake-law-firm-wins-legal-awards/

“Last week, up-and-coming firm FLF Abiola & Co. captured the highly coveted title of “Film Financing Law Firm of the Year in Nigeria” from both Finance Monthly and Corporate INTL, which claim a combined readership of nearly 300,000 per month. Netting this rare international two-for should’ve been a major coup for the (very) young African firm, yet the win was greeted with howls of laughter by the notoriously salty UK press. The venerable Guardian was even moved to note that Abiola’s “logo bears more than a passing resemblance to an ejaculating penis.” It’d be understandable if Abiola felt that the tenor of the coverage verged on bullying, even given such a  graphic design gaffe, but the only ones crying foul are the awards’ presenters. You see, FLF Abiola & Co., is not strictly speaking a real law firm, or even a particularly credibly faked one.

The firm was the invention of satirical law blog RollOnFriday, designed to lampoon purveyors of cash-for-credibility legal awards like Universal Media (the publisher of both Finance Monthly and Corporate INTL). After ROF revealed their ruse, a Corporate INTL spokesperson “concede[d] that there has been a breakdown in the due diligence/judging phase of our awards programme,” but that seems like a slight understatement. While the logo alone might not have been enough to erect a warning sign, there were other red flags. The photo purported to be of firm founder Dennis Abiola was, in fact, American actor Danny Glover. The Nigerian address provided did not exist. Even the FLF in FLF Abiola & Co. stands for Fake Law Firm. A cursory internet search would’ve been enough to cast doubt on the existence of the practice, but that might’ve obstructed the work of sending pre-drafted emails asking nominees and winners for £300 to fund an attractive sponsorship and promotional package.”

Hey, even dogs are getting in on the action, one dog became a member of “Lawyers of Distinction-read it below

Universal Media, the owner of several of these very dubious outfits, are being investigated for wrongdoing. https://www.rollonfriday.com/news-content/exclusive-legal-awards-company-investigated-wrongdoing

Bottom line is, if you as an attorney feel compelled to buy yourself awards, perhaps you should take a long hard look in the mirror and see why lawyers are regarded as scum. I’m left with the thought though that Irina won’t see a reflection in a mirror, like the rest of the vampires that exist in the law profession.

The Joke Known as Nevada Coatings Inc is Gone From the Web

We’ve ridiculed the Granite Deck System from Nevada Coatings Inc for years. Their system was a cobbled together joke that rapidly failed and with only two applicators, didn’t gain any traction in the market.

Now, a year plus after Decktech Inc of Grover Beach dropped the product, the website for NevadaCoatings.com is gone from the web.

WICR, owned by David Mazor/Krubinski, was the second applicators and they’ve never ever featured a job using the crap on their own website.

If you are a consumer with Granite Deck or any other product from Nevada Coatings Inc and are experiencing failures or difficulty in getting warranty work done, we advise you file a complaint with the California Attorney Generals office for fraud. All claims by the manufacturer were made by the manufacturer and we assert they were false and misleading, without any backing of proof from independent entities.

Mazor & Marsch Caught Lying Their Asses Off In Sworn Testimony

Two lying peas in a pod were caught again lying to save their friends ass, only it didn’t work. The Contractors State License Board has rejected a Administrative Law Judge’s decision in CSLB/CA Attorney General vs DeckTech Inc.

The case in question can be found at CSLB’s License Portal where you can read the Accusation against DeckTech along with the Decision and Notice of Non-Adoption.

In the case of CSLB Vs DeckTech, who is a Nevada Coatings applicator, Nevada Coatings being owned by Mazor, Decktech has been accused of abandoning a job, taking to much money on a deposit, failing to provide lien releases and several other violations of the Business & Professions Code.

The case finally had hearings last year and a decision was posted this week at the CSLB website. The decision contains testimony from Mark Marsch who was a public WICR owner before going underground.

Marsch is found lying in testimony he gave regarding tile work. Read it below in the screen shot

Mark Marsch testimony DT tile job
Mark Marsch lies his ass off by testifying “in his opinion” the grout joints “met industry standards”. No Mark, they don’t. And the grout joints were one of the first things the Smith’s complained to me about. I’m not a tile expert, but I can see with my own eyes and so can everyone else.

Then Davis Mazor got on the witness stand and swore to tell the truth ( I know, right, stop laughing…)

Mazor is the mind behind Nevada Coatings System, a polyurea product that to my knowledge, no one has ever seen a can of in their life. Photo’s I have from various jobs DeckTeck has done have all shown Carboline Reactamine ET on the labels or a red can covered over with a Decktech label.

Mazor then went on to opine-

mazor DT testimony carboline NCS
The reason Mazor says Carboline would be an acceptable substitute is because NCS is Carboline. There aren’t any products labeled NCS I’ve ever seen. Carboline does not have any spec for applying their products to plywood substrates.
Mazor testimony DT 2
Carboline would beg to differ. No membrane “absorbs” into the wood substrate as the wood substrate is primed first with epoxy. See DeckTech pic below. As of 3/13/17, the NCS spec for NCS6000 UVS says it is applied at 45 mils to 125 mils. This is written information that contradicts Mazor’s testimony. Again, IMO he’s a liar here.

Carboline Rep Says “Based on what I can tell… (Reactamine ET on decks) not the right application for these products”

I spoke with Paul at Carboline Technical Service (314-219-1707) who tells me that based on the pics I have of their Carboline’s Reactamine ET being put on plywood decks by DeckTech that  it’s not an approved application by them.

He also said they would not approve it if asked to. What bothered him is that if Nevada Coatings System is the “private label” that is supposed to be what’s being put down, it should be in a can marked as such as it is deceiving the client of they think it’s Carboline “approving” the application over plywood.

Call Carboline up at the number above and ask Paul yourself.

Seems with this information, if you saw this bucket as shown below on your job, but were told on our contract Nevada Coatings, you may ask yourself, have I been a victim of a bait and switch? And after you talk to Paul at Carboline, you might want to talk to CSLB? An attorney? DeckTech’s Bonding Company? General Liability insurance carrier? All of the above? You decide.

Screen shot taken from DeckTech’s website when they promoted Granite Deck. Here they discuss primer on the deck first then the membrane. So any absorption of product into the substrate would be the primer, not the membrane.

I’ve reported on this site several cases where Mazor (Krubinski) has been caught lying.  He was found by a Judge to be “less than credible”. Well I am going to make sure CSLB knows of your unsavory history in lying under oath.

Here at a DeckTech job we see familiar looking red buckets with a “DeckTech” label over the mfg’s label. I’m not saying these are Carboline buckets, I’m saying the red color looks familiar.

I tried sending a message to Dave’s email but got an error msg, but this is what I tried to send-

3 scum bags
Telling Dave he’s a liar to his face will be very satisfying when I get that chance.

Nevada Coatings System – The Industry Joke, Is Dead! Long Live The King!

When your largest applicator of your product walks away from your product, it can cause problems to your bottom line. When your largest applicator, who is actually only 1 of 2 known applicators, walks away from your product, you’re pretty screwed.

Unless Dave has an ace up his sleeve, Granite Deck is essentially dead. Considered a joke in the industry, Dave’s schtick in selling this crap got zero traction.

Industry joke Nevada Coatings System, owned by David Mazor, aka David Krubinski appears to be for all intents, “Dead Man Walking”. For a few years in the San Luis Obispo area, DeckTech Inc was a large applicator of his crap. They sold the hell out of it, claiming it was the answer to all things wrong with competing systems. They claimed it was Class A fire rated, (I can’t find any proof of that from any reliable sources), it encapsulated all flashing and nailing details, blah blah blah…puke.

DeckTech claims this…see next photo for reality check
IMG_20160111_150909409
Reality-the product is separating at the edge. Reality, you can’t effectively protect a hard 90 degree edge. Coatings adhere well to rounded edges

I, from the very beginning, upon hearing that Krubinski was behind the product, had strong doubts. DeckTech sprayed the crap everywhere-onto condo’s decks in Avila Beach, single families in Grover Beach, luxury homes in Cayucos, commercial jobs in Pismo Beach, roofs in Paso Robles, you name it, the crap was being applied everywhere.

Fast forward a few years-DeckTech has 200+ Granite Deck jobs done and now the devil wanted his due-despite the maintenance agreements and the money made selling the stuff, go backs for “warranty work” is the bane of waterproofing contractors. I’ve personally consulted on a half dozen + Granite Deck failures and became aware of many others from other sources.  I’ve seen one lawsuit against DeckTech settled over Granite Deck problems.

Simply put, despite all the hype and showmanship, Granite Deck isn’t performing for Decktech as envisioned. There’s multiple condo decks in Avila that are failing, single family decks that are failing, commercial buildings too. They have been having a nightmare of go back issues, from paperwork I obtained, at least 24 go back jobs are on a list from October for DeckTeck. That’s a ton of money being hemorrhaged out. First on labor and materials to fix the problems, then the loss of income on new work that can’t get done.

Decktech recently put up a new website design and it’s content is quite different than from a couple years ago. Decktech then extolled Granite Deck, now one can’t find nary a mention of it at the new website. Before DeckTech trashed metal lath decking systems, now it’s what they install from Westcoat, Life Deck and Mer-Ko.

DeckTech manufacturers 1 14 16
No more talk about Nevada Coatings at DeckTech, they smartened up after a few years of eating failures.

Interestingly, Krubinski/Mazor’s own company WICR, which is last man standing it appears as an applicator of Granite Deck, has zero pictures at their website showing it being applied. Indeed, their blog discusses how great Dex-O-Tex is (a true, bonafide deck system) but there’s no mention of Granite Deck. Really the only way you’d know they were an applicator is by looking at their manufacturer affiliations where Nevada Coatings is mentioned.

By all appearances, NCS is down the toilet as a product. Long live the king!

Rich Ass Wipe’s Problems Make Yours Pale in Comparison

(En Espanol continuación)

You think you have problems? Can’t pay the rent or make a car payment? Jeez, you unfeeling sap, try to feel how Dave Krubinski is feeling…he’s going bald and his cigar humidor is drying up his cigars…

I found Krubinski’s Amazon.com reviews and now I feel really bad for him…he apparently splurged on a Cigas Oasis Magna Humidifier for $179.00 and expected unbelieveable results for his money…but poor Davey got screwed apparently.

Krubinski expects results from a cheap humidifier and cries when it didn't work...
Krubinski expects results from a cheap humidifier and cries when it didn’t work…

Question…didn’t you spend around $30,000 on a cigar humidor not that long ago? For 30K I’d expect it had a way to humidify the cigars… to expect something for $179 to do it is a cheap idiots answer…you are such a putz.

I also found Dave’s review for Lipogaine Premium Hair Loss Prevention Shampoo which apparently is performing miracles for Dave…his itchy scalp is no more from using other shampoos AND good news…his hair is no longer thinning and IN FACT is more dense now than it was 6 months ago!

Does anyone else notice or is it just in his own head that he’s a virile male with a full head of hair…on the prowl…gotta look good for the ladies…especially that tiger, er marketing director/snake charmer strutting around the office hey?

Balding douche Dave Krubinski is actually dumb enough to review a shampoo that makes his hair denser...if I was losing my hair, I wouldn't be talking about it on Amazon dummy!

Awww, we gotta feel bad for rich millionaires with hair loss problems…go buy a new Mercedes Dave and you’ll be a hit with the ladies once more…see ya at the Disco! You do know the Bee Gee’s broke up right? What a Shmendrik…(A stupid jerk; someone who is thin and weak, a runt or pipsqueak; also, someone of little worth with an inflated ego.)
